Ugg

My Ugg came, yesterday from Zappos.

However, I'm not satisfied with the quality .... the sol is not padded enough and it is MADE IN CHINA !! :(.
Well yeah sort of guess it before, since I saw it at the store on the weekend.

I decided to return it and buy the Ultra tall one.

It's a bit more expensive but there's around $40 after the price match things. i I believe the ultra tall one is MADE IN NEW ZEALAND. It's also more comfortable as well...

I guess it's worth it unless the winter is warm this year....you know because of the global warming >.<.

MAC Heirlooms Collection quality

So, I went to look for the brush over the weekend and as expected the quality isn't as good as those regular brushes.
Decided not to buy ....

MAC Heirlooms Collection

For this upcoming holiday season, MAC has Heirlooms brushes collection.

Tempted to buy but I heard that it's quality is not as good as their regular brush. These brushes are more of mass production than their regular brush.

Hmm... I need to see it myself perhaps this weekend.

Ugg boots @ Shoes.com

Lately, I've been eager to get a new boot. I want an Ugg !!!!
But as you know the price is crazy !! Even most stores don't want to give the discount, even if they do have the discount actually.
Then I know that Shoes.com has a coupon called Luckybreaks7 for 25% off, valid until October 31, 2007. Unfortunately, I was too late and it doesn't apply for Ugg anymore now :(.

So, few days later, I got a news that if you go to: www.shoes.com/visadm07, they'll have 15% off and it's applied for UGG !!!!!! (Even it says not on the notation under the banner).
Well, I guess it's system glitch again so I took that opportunity and price match it w/ zappos to save several bucks again !!

Thanks to whoever sharing this information w/ us :)

Japanese Fashion Online

I found a new website to shop for Japanese/Korean fashion style online - in the U.S.
In my opinion, most of their stuff are good ... in terms of style, not sure about the quality though.
The price is a bit steep but I think it's around the same if you shop at Korea/Japan.
The website is called Yesstyle.com
I think it's part of Yesasia.com - the site that sell CD/VCD/DVD of Asian entertainment (mostly).

Eye Liner

Today, I tried Chanel's liquid eye liner. It's not that good on me ... I mean it's too watery, not dry quickly and you really need steady hand to apply it.
So, I decided to pass on it.

Then I tried Chanel's eye liner pencil. It's called Stylo Yeux Waterproof, long lasting eye liner. It's really good. I love it more than my lancome eye liner.

Haven't tried it to make smokey eyes yet though ....

I was going to buy it but it sold out :(. So this Chanel's SA introduce me to Giorgio Armani eyeliner.

It's called Maestro Eye liner...OMG, it's really great. Haven't try it on my eyes yet but I love it more than Chanel liquid Eye liner. It should be fine..at least I hope so. I asked them to shipped it on me so I'll get it soon and will post the review about it here.

Shopping Experience

Today I went to Saks Fifth Avenue at Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL. Purchased some items from Bobbie brown, however didn't get gift at all. It dissappointed me but the thing that make me don't want to go there again is the SA attitude in that counter.

Her initial is MYA and she does have attitude. She's not nice, not helpful and don't have respect towards her customer at all.

It sort of pissed me off until now !!! I don't want to make my purchase over there again !!! One of the lady at Giorgio Armani also has little bit attitude but she's still okay compare with Mya at Bobbie Brown.

On the other hand though, Jovita at NARS is such a sweet person. There's also this lady at Chanel who's quiet tall....she's SUPER. I love her a lot !! Thanks guys, you made my day ...

This is just my ramble of today's shopping experience at Saks.

Winter is on its way

It's been cold for the past few days and we will need a pair of boots soon.

Found this white boot with button on it is pretty but surely it's not recommended to wear during snow storm :P.

Nina Ricci & Louis Vuitton SS 08 Paris

Have been busy with all this roller coaster these past few days so no chance to update this blog at all.

Nina Ricci collection for SS 08 has a theme of girls coming back from a ball who you would find on the side of the street in the early morning.

No wonder most of its collection are so hot chic...cool and beautiful. Make me wants to buy one of those dresses ....
While on the other hand, Louis Vuitton has some colourful collection.

Isn't it more like rainbow colors all over the place? Well yeah it's true that it's spring but still too colorful for an expensive handbag and RTW item.

However, Marc Jacobs still has neat bag for this SS 08 though.
Just personal opinion...I love the color, love the make up but it's too much money to spend on colorful and expensive item like that.

Karl Lagerfeld SS08

Paris fashion week is here and Karl Lagerfeld shows us his collection.
I lie if I said that I don't like his collection at all.....
I totally love it !!

The way he chose the color and the model, it's totally great. I think his collection is entertaining for our eyes :).

The make up - oh I totally LOVE it. It's not too strong but also not too mellow as well, just about right. You know what I mean?

I think short skirt and asymmetrical model is back.

Great job Karl !!

Here is review from Wall Street Journal

Karl Lagerfeld, at 74 years old, is a fashion multi-tasker.
In addition to designing several collections a year for Chanel, where he has worked for 25 years, he also is the longtime creative director of LVMH’s Fendi label.

Today, unveiling the collection for the third and smaller brand he designs — the Karl Lagerfeld collection — he sought inspiration from the 1980s club scene.
He presented a collection of angular tailored jackets and tight one-shouldered mini-dresses in bright colors against a backdrop of a neon rainbow. Models wore chunky lucite accessories, like drop earrings shaped like a triangle, and spiked headbands.
“Karl’s girl has a bit of sweetness with an ‘S&M’ edge,” says Ann Watson, fashion director at Henri Bendel in New York.
Mr. Lagerfeld’s label has struggled to craft a distinct identity in the marketplace, underscoring the difficulty—no matter how famous the designer—of developing a brand from scratch, as opposed to drawing on the long history of an established label.
Tommy Hilfiger Corp., which bought the Karl Lagerfeld brand in 2005 for about $30 million, threw an elaborate fashion show in New York last year to fete the launch of the collection of $150 T-shirts and $400 sweaters in the U.S. It was then discontinued after one disappointing season. (Mr. Lagerfeld himself remarked to Women’s Wear Daily that the collection was too expensive.)
Tommy Hilfiger was bought by private-equity fund Apax Partners last year. Following the acquisition, Mr. Lagerfeld’s brand took a backseat to Apax’s plans to overhaul the Hilfiger label. Fred Gehring, chief executive of Tommy Hilfiger, attended the Lagerfeld show but declined to answer questions backstage.
A Hilfiger spokeswoman said that relaunching the brand in the U.S. for the Spring 2008 season remains “a possibility.”
Representatives from Neiman Marcus, Henri Bendel and Bergdorf Goodman were all at the show, though it remains to be seen if they will buy the collection.
